Hang on there - the year is almost up

R wrote -

I started this project blog on February 9,  2010 with the goal of designing a piece everyday using fiber, photography, metal and beads as my media. It's been an interesting journey. I hope you enjoy!
 Go to Renotta's One-a-Day:

Hi there
Project 'One a Day' is almost over - and what a fabulous record you have of your amazing creativity. Out in Cyberspace forever.
I will miss looking at your creations but we will keep on blogging.  As you say."So many bloggers quit, but not the grannies."    COGs forever!

Thymes they are achainging

Clara - Adore this song and concept - chains are the ultimate connector.

And yes times are a-changing, usually /perhaps for the better?? That's where the matriarchs come in - we need wise women to pass on the wisdom of the past since we are the connection from the past to the future. A very important role.

Cheers Clara

Clara - How long have chaings been around? Forever - and still going strong.

Love the way we can add, as you have shown - and can build up our own collection.

Today says that we can combine old with new and wear them all together.

Cheers Clara

Morning Light in Wisconsin, Afternoon Light in Australia

Clara wrote yesterday re the photography course -  'Light is reflected off surfaces and we see what is reflected' to which R replied - "You've inspired me to capture the morning light. I wish I was going to Light Writing class with you. "

I wish that too but don't think you need to ....... you can already capture the light.

Morning Light...May 6th

R - Morning light filtering through the trees outside my studio. Necklace of stone, pearls, crystal and copper for tomorrow's wrap.

Clara takes a shot
Our Mid Autumn afternoon light lured me outside to capture the light which was highlighting the lavender and leaving the ferns in it's shade.
Food for your thoughts - We only see light because it is reflected.  Is this the case with glory  ie do we need appreciation of others reflected back to us before we can acknowledge it ourselves?

Having a Vine Time...April 21st

Necklace of brass and stone with vintage pendant.
Clara -  where do you get the basics to make your marvellous pieces?  There is so much variation, in what you include.  I hope your little fingers are not getting overworked with what must be at times hard twisting, turning etc?

Going to the local club tonight for a glass of vine.  I'll have one for you.

Look What the Cat Dragged In

R wrote -

"I love this bold choker of turquoise and stone. I plan to wear it with an oversized tee and a pair of skinny jeans. I like to think of it as a "fitness" neck piece, kind of like a weight belt that you wear when you're out for a jog, designer jewelry that helps you fit in your jeans.

Love, R
Clara - So you think that I am going to get passionate again about leafy greens - you understand that I could but won't as I am now in fashion mode - change of season does it to me every time. Easter heralds the change - out with the whites, (well - not the jeans or the shirts) and in with the jackets - Yeahhh!  So much more style and softer light (you guys over there don't have to put up with the same harsh scrutiny that us Gals Down Under have to endure.)

R - Your description showcases the absolute essence of Babyboomer dressing. Your fashion hints are welcomed. As are your technical hints - the not-so-tech leading the not-so-tech, but enjoying our ability to communicate. Also how Grannycircle Gals can http://www.fitwithmyjeans.com/ as well as http://fitinmyjeans.blogspot.com/

'Fit with my jeans'  - is your unique talent which I would love to be involved in down the track - Do you have a display in your store,  day by day?
