Look on the Bright Side of Life

Swollen Fingers and Arthritic Hands

I CAN
still "scratch" my nose
and sew up some clothes.
Pop open a can
and apply a fake tan.
Still drive my car
ever so far.
And uncork the wine
in about the same time.

My fingers are big
but I'm not in a gig.
I can't wear my rings
but that's not a big thing.

As my mom always said
to avoid lots of strife,
a girl's got to look
on the bright side of life
