I can't claim the cougar but he/she has been spotted in the area. I can claim my white deer. Roberto came screaming into the cabin,"grab your camera, quick". I was in my big white terrycloth robe as it was about 5am. So camera in hand, we tore off to the photo shoot. You know those paparazzi. My subject was awesome, the size of a very large cow. He sat there in all his glory. Perhaps his complacency was due to many photo opportunities.  I like to think it was because we were both in white that day, and he could relate to my outfit. Alas we just learned this spring that he did not survive the winter, but he will always be in our hearts and photos.
