Hi R
'Which comes first, in your 'chicken before the egg' question on June 1? The rock, the cuff, the scarf, the photo, the title?
Indeed a very good question but I have a better one. Why can't men dress like your gorgeous Prince Charming of May 30? I know Beau Brummell established the mode of men wearing understated, but fitted, tailored clothes including dark suits and full-length trousers, adorned with an elaborately-knotted cravat. But that was two centuries ago - time to move on for goodness sake!
Prince Charming is equally the epitome of fashion and style: the clothes and the manners—“the poise, deft wit and air of languorous indifference”. Pewter cuffs could be useful also in defence, in the manner of a heavy ring in combat, while the scarf could have a myriad of uses. As for the hat - I always turn to look at a well dressed man or woman in a hat. Pure Panache!

What is shibori dyed? Love the shibori scarf with matching neckpiece. also the scarf for June 1 which matches the rock on which it is photographed.
Romancing the Stone...June 2nd
Romancing the Stone...we found this beautiful stone in New Mexico. At first we thought that ancient man created the shallow dish in the stone, but then we realized nature made it. The "dish" fills with water and provides for all our critter friends. The carnelian necklace was a natural for it as all the beads are from Santa Fe.

Thank you for your wonderful review of my love's labours including my Prince Charming. He does look good in hats. And what a good idea, jewelry to defend one's self with, like brass knuckles only pewter cuffs. Perhaps I should pursue that as a marketing technique. As for shibori, it is an ancient Japanese form of tie dye that involves folding and stitching the fabric before dyeing it. I should really call my method Renottabori as I have developed my own fabric embellishments over the years. Recently I've been screen printing the fabric with textile ink first and not heat setting it. Then I dye the fabric and wash it well. This removes the original ink that acted like a resist to the dye so my screened image remains, but with a very natural soft hand. Depending on what I'm after, I may still screen print again but with thickened dye that permeates the fabric. That is the plan for today's "aggregate scarf".
